Terms & Conditions

Hello and welcome to this page where I will try to explain to you, in clear and easy terms, the conditions that apply to the usage of the arduinilive.com website and all of its related content.

As a first thing, let me clarify the scope of everything by giving you an overview of the words that I'm going to use across this page:

  • Website: it obviosuly refers to the arduinilive.com website, the very same website that you are navigating right now; it also comprises all of its sub-domains as such
  • Software/Applications: everything related to Computer Software that I personally develop under the name of arduinilive.com, like a Windows Applications (whether distributed via the Microsoft Store or offline), other software found on Github (under the name of arduinilive.com), and other stuff like that (better state that I'm talking about what I do, not about what others could do using my website name or even my name, just to be clear).
  • ALive API: it's a set of FREE APIs that I develop for the fun of just doing that; it should be a way of keeping my skills sharpened and maybe help my day-to-day life with some automation, of course kindly offered by the Information Technology magic 😉

That said, I like to point out that I am a Computer Developer by day and night, meaning that the Website, the Software/Applications and the ALive API are not my daily job but more my nightly passion; I am a regular Developer for another Company (for which I'm not creating a conflict of interest as my personal and free-time produced software has nothing to do with I do for a living) and during my free time I like keeping up with my .NET Skills.

For this reason, I offer the Website, the Software/Applications and the ALive API for FREE and WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY regarding the Service Availability, correctness/rightness of its content and/or responsability for its usage. So basically, everything is offered AS IS, for free, without any garantee on my side about anything and just for the fun of having made it (yes, you read it right, I might shutdown everything in a blink of an eye and without notice).

If you agree to use my Software/Applications or the ALive API, it's possible that you would be required to provide your e-mail address. I will only use it for accessing the programs, when necessary, and I will not use them as a SPAM or sales point of contact or anything else. I'm hosting the Website using an Italian Shared Web Hosting Service, ServerPlan, for which I encourage you to explore via their website (they are very valid and I always found myself satisfied with their services) and, since you are there, check their privacy policy too. In any case, should you desire to use my software where an e-mail is required, just use a secondary e-mail or something not as much important, so if my hosting provider gets hacked, or I get hacked, no damange is done whatsoever (and by damage I mean that your e-mail is stolen and ends up showing who knows where).

As a last point, I encourage you to read my Privacy Policy; it's a document where I tell you something about the information I get when using my stuff or, in general, what I do when you navigate my website or join my creations.

Thank you for reading this page so far, please be reminded that I'm doing what I do for fun (and my family mainly) so just enjoy it as it is and consider yourself encouraged to create something of your own should you have the abilities to do so. Have a nice day and stay safe on the Internet. Bye bye.

Always Yours,
Mordas.
